Need help fulfilling your Amazon FBM orders? Jetpack can fulfill inventory set as Fulfill by Merchant (FBM) on Amazon. This guide explains Amazon’s PII retention requirements, how to sync your Amazon store with Jetpack, and best practices for creating FBM SKUs.
Jetpack can only fulfill inventory set as Fulfill by Merchant (FBM) and is not able to process Amazon (Seller Fulfilled) Prime orders.

Syncing Your Amazon Store with Jetpack

If you haven’t connected your Amazon store to Jetpack, start by syncing your store using the provided integration steps. Jetpack can only fulfill inventory set as Fulfill by Merchant (FBM) and is not able to process Amazon (Seller Fulfilled) Prime orders. By following these guidelines and procedures, you can ensure compliance with Amazon’s PII retention requirements while seamlessly syncing your Amazon store with Jetpack for effective order management and inventory fulfillment.

Creating Additional FBM SKUs for ASINs

For merchants with existing Amazon FBA listings, it is recommended to create additional SKUs for FBM in the Amazon Seller Center for the same ASINs.
Be aware that having two live listings (one FBA and one FBM) for the same ASIN could potentially violate Amazon policy. Consult Amazon to determine if you should temporarily inactivate the FBA listing.

Options for Creating New FBM SKUs

There are two options for creating new FBM SKUs for ASINs:
MethodToolBest For
Individual ProductsAmazon’s Add a Product toolCreating FBM SKUs for a few products
Bulk UploadAmazon’s Add Products via Upload toolCreating FBM SKUs for many products at once

It is not recommended to convert your FBA SKUs to FBM, as it could lead to orphaned inventory or processing issues when items are returned to Amazon’s warehouses. If you choose to do so, proceed with caution using these steps from the Jetpack dashboard:
1

Navigate to the Manage Inventory page

From your Jetpack dashboard, go to the Manage Inventory page.
2

Select the SKUs you wish to convert

Check the boxes next to the SKUs you want to change from FBA to FBM.
3

Click the Edit drop-down menu

Click the Edit drop-down menu at the top of the inventory list.
4

Select Change to Fulfilled by Merchant

From the drop-down options, select Change to Fulfilled by Merchant.
5

Click Convert to complete the conversion

On the conversion confirmation page, review your selections and click Convert to finalize the change.

Amazon’s 30-Day PII Retention Policy

Personally Identifiable Information (PII) includes data such as customer names, street addresses, email addresses, and other details that can directly or indirectly identify an individual.

What Happens to PII After 30 Days

Jetpack is required to retain PII only for 30 days after a shipment is delivered. After this period, key PII fields (first name, last name, street address, etc.) will be replaced with “Redacted.” Non-PII data such as shipment tracking IDs, zip code, city, and state will remain intact.

Impact on Claims and Returns

The standard claims process remains unchanged. Jetpack does not store name or address information on return orders; however, returns remain linked to the original order. To issue refunds, you can look up the order number in Amazon.
When contacting Jetpack Care for support, do not share sensitive information (including PII) via chat or email unless absolutely necessary. Any sensitive information received will be deleted once the issue is resolved.
For additional troubleshooting related to Amazon’s PII policies, refer to Amazon’s documentation.
