Customize Order Documents

What it does: The Customize Order Documents page serves as your central hub for configuring gift note and marketing insert settings. From this page, you can see whether these features are Active or Inactive and navigate to detailed management pages for each customization option. When to use it: Access this page whenever you need to enable, disable, or manage settings for gift notes or marketing inserts. This is your starting point for configuring order document customization. Learn about customizing order documents →

Gift Notes

What it does: Jetpack offers Standard and Premium gift note options that let you include personalized messages with customer orders. Standard gift notes are printed in black and white on thermal label stock at all Jetpack fulfillment centers. Premium gift notes feature full-color printing on premium postcard-style paper with custom background images and are available at US fulfillment centers. When to use it:
  • Orders being sent as gifts where customers want to include personalized messages
  • Holiday shipments or special occasions where a personal touch enhances the customer experience
  • Creating a memorable unboxing experience with branded gift note backgrounds (Premium)
Both gift note types support up to 450 characters and 10 lines per message with automatic text wrapping. Standard gift notes allow a 100 x 100 pixel monochrome logo, while Premium gift notes support full background images in portrait or landscape orientation.
Standard gift notes cost USD $0.50 per gift note printed. Premium gift note pricing is available by contacting Jetpack Care. Gift notes are not supported for products configured to Ship in Own Container (SIOC).

Marketing Inserts

What it does: Jetpack’s US fulfillment centers print marketing inserts on-demand, eliminating the need to pre-print and ship marketing materials to fulfillment centers for storage as a SKU. Marketing inserts are printed in full color on 4.1 x 6-inch (10 x 15 cm) premium postcard-style paper (65# Cover Rolland Opaque). When to use it:
  • Promoting upcoming sales, new products, or special offers to customers receiving shipments
  • Including discount codes or referral programs with customer orders
  • Cross-selling related products or encouraging repeat purchases
  • Seasonal campaigns or limited-time promotional offers
Once enabled, marketing inserts print automatically for all applicable orders that are in Processing status. You can upload a single 1230 x 1800-pixel color image (300 dots per inch) with a required 0.25-inch white border on all sides. The orientation (portrait or landscape) depends on the uploaded image.
Marketing insert pricing is available by contacting Jetpack Care. Marketing inserts are not supported for products configured to Ship in Own Container (SIOC).

Custom Sender Labels

What it does: Jetpack allows you to personalize the Sender Name and Company Name fields on the shipping label attached to your packages. This customization is available at no extra cost and applies to all parcel orders for your company. When to use it:
  • Branding your outbound shipments with your company name instead of a generic sender label
  • Creating a professional appearance for customer deliveries
  • Ensuring consistency across all outbound packages with your company identity
All Jetpack fulfillment centers support custom sender labels. To comply with customs regulations, the sender label must reflect your company’s information. The Custom Sender Label field supports 5-35 characters (including spaces) and does not support special characters.
Return labels cannot be customized. This restriction prevents issues with carrier drop-offs and ensures a smooth returns process.

Beyond the label and document customization features in this section, Jetpack offers packaging configuration options that affect how your products are packaged and shipped:

Packaging Preferences

Configure your packaging type preferences in the Jetpack dashboard to control how products are packaged. Choose from Standard packaging (Jetpack-provided boxes and materials), Ship in Own Container (SIOC) for products that ship in their manufacturer packaging, or Custom packaging when you provide your own branded boxes or materials. Why it matters: Your packaging preferences affect fulfillment fees, dimensional weight calculations, and whether certain customization features (like gift notes and marketing inserts) are supported. Custom Packaging

If you want to use your own branded boxes, custom mailers, or specialized packaging materials, you can send custom packaging to Jetpack fulfillment centers. Custom packaging must meet specific requirements for storage, dimensions, and compatibility with Jetpack’s fulfillment processes. Why it matters: Custom packaging lets you create a fully branded unboxing experience with your own materials, but requires coordination with Jetpack Care for approval and proper configuration in your account.
